The role of
motorcycle helmet air duct
Under normal circumstances, a full-face helmet usually has three air ducts. There are three functions, namely: defogging, noise reduction, and ventilation.
Defogging: First of all, the air duct of the helmet has a defogging effect. Although the defogging effect is not obvious, we also need to know how to use it. If you want to use the air duct to remove fog, you need to open the front air duct, the top air duct, and close the rear air duct. After the operation is completed, the rapidly rising airflow can effectively remove the fog on the lens.
Noise Cancellation: As the name suggests, it is to keep quiet. If you want to achieve noise reduction and silence, you can close all three air ducts, or just open the rear air duct. Some of the better helmets are very quiet inside the helmet after the air ducts are all closed.
Ventilation: To get good ventilation inside the helmet, you need to open the front and rear air ducts and close the top air duct. However, in this case, the inside of the helmet will be noisy.
